Challenge
PHE OSES faced costly delays and safety risks due to manual, error-prone processes for managing offshore crew departures, including permit validation (HSSE Passport/FEP) and port check-ins.
Solution
As Product Designer (Individual Contributor), I designed a web application to digitize and automate the entire workflow. Key features include:
- Digital Permit Management: Centralized tracking & validation of HSSE Passports & FEPs (MCU, BSS, etc.).
- Automated Workflows: Streamlined multi-step approvals (Safety, Security) & departure requests.
- QR Code Check-in/out: Rapid, accurate personnel verification at the port.
- Real-time Dashboards: Enhanced visibility for admins on crew status & compliance.
Impact
Slashed departure failures, significantly reduced check-in times, improved safety compliance, and provided critical operational visibility for management.
